Thanks.

I can't see many individuals wanting to send international wire transfers to a Cuban government account. But perhaps I am wrong.

ING has refused to deal with anything Cuba-related since they were forced to shut their office in Cuba and close Netherlands Caribbean Bank which they had as a joint venture with Cuban companies - about 8 years ago or so.

Those wanting to give to an NGO, see for example the link in Conner Gorry's latest blog.

The article does not suggest this is a bad idea or a scam.... Just that American and certain foreign banks have gotten huge fines for facilitating these types of transactions.

I'm confident my Canadian bank would have no issue if i decided to contribute.

I agree,just the opposite for everyone in the world except Americans subject to OFAC regs.

I am just saying that I suspect that most individuals would find a different way to donate anyway.

Here is that link. I contributed via that link and no agents from the US government have appeared on my doorstep with a pair of handcuffs.
