Dear fellow travellers, can you kindly give me some tips about snorkelling in the southern part of Cuba from Trinidad to the West side? I had to cancel Cayo Santa Maria due to the hurricane. We will travel on 26 October - 3 nights in Havana, bus to Varadero and pick up car from there then drive to Sancto Spirito for one night. 1 or 2 nights in Trinidad and then a beach break of about 2 or 3 nights before heading to the west. I read about Cayo Largo but it seems that there are other beautiful beaches we can do on the mainland and also because you can only get a flight to go there.
Any good suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

There is a north coast and a south coast plus an east end(Santiago) and a west end(Maria La Gorda). There is no east or west side(coast). Look at a Caribbean map.
