Hello

Are there any reliable car rental companies in central cuba (for example Ciego de Avila), that allow me driving the car back to Havanna and drop it off there?

There are only two car rental companies in Cuba - Transtur and Via Gaviota - or say three if you count Rex separately. (Rex is a division of Transtur). Rex's website is http://www.rex.cu

I had heard that drop off fees are fairly high.

They all allow it, there maybe an additional fee involved and it will be indicated on the contract if there is.

Different car brands.

Havanauto being a bit more expensive but, again, different cars. Also, HA's cars all have automatic transmissions.
