If you don't want to go direct, then you certainly don't want a colectivo / shared taxi !

Why? What do you mean? We want to go first from Santa Clara for 1-2 hours, and continue our trip to our final destination which is Trinidad.

The term "collectivo" or shared taxi generally applies to a driver/vehicle that sells individual seats for a fixed route and usually departs when all the seats have been sold. Similar to a bus's operations.

If you want a ride where you are in command of the route and timing then you need to hire your own private taxi.

We are 3.. So , I think that we wouldn't have a problem. The price is more expensive?

The price is more expensive?

With only three passengers, of course.

If you're asking if Havana/Santa Clara/Trinidad is more expensive than simply going Havana to Trinidad then of course it's more expensive. How could adding another city not be more expensive?

Cheers,
Terry

Google maps https://www.google.com/maps/@22.5290758,-80.6285588,9z will give the perspective of how far Santa Clara is out of the way from Havana to Trinidad.
