I've been looking for flights from UK to Cuba in September and the cheapest I have found so far is about £400 return including taxes. This is more than I can afford but I really want to go to Cuba...

It is possible to find flights cheaper than this? I can fly from anywhere in the UK. Are flights likely to be cheaper if I go a different month?

Cheers,

Bob

that sounds about right. mine was a real steal at £370 for a scheduled flight - that was on sale. your other option might be to look at charter flights: http://www.charterflights.co.uk/

i think the real deals here hough are found by booking late. good luck.

Sounds reasonable to me. September is off-season and should be a reasonable time for airfares. I'm assuming that the fare you quoted was with Virgin. Was it?

Ask yourself this question: if I'm iffy on being able to afford to go; can I afford to stay? Conventional wisdom is to plan on CUC 75.00 - 100.00 / day as an independant traveller. Can you manage this?

Hi
There is a company callled the Holiday Place [ www.theholidayplace.co.uk ] who do a package from London which includes return flight, London to Holguin 3 nights inclusive accomodation in Gaudalavaca internal flight to Havana , 3 nights BB accommodation in Havana for £399.

As this is about the cost of flight only I am using this as an introduction to Cuba. After the 6 nights I am staying on independantly ,travelling around and finding my own accomodation for 12 more nights and they charged me an £80 supplement on top to come back at the later date.

This price comes up for a couple of dates each month if you can book a few months ahead.
