Another quick question: Has anyone ever booked dance lessons in Santiago or Havana through thr German agency "Danza y Movimiento"?

Or, for that matter, through some other agency they'd recommend?

Please let me know if this sort of question about a specific company is inappropriate for this forum.

I'm taking classes since many years with Gilberto Capote : ph 861.4902, Habana Vieja, $ 10,-/hour private lessons, incl. if necessary a cuban dance partner, he published a CD with the most important vueltas, very methodical, you'll learn fast, teaches mainly a 'street' version of casino.
On a more sophisticated level I found this professional dancer and her choreographer partner to be top notch: Leida and Lester, $ 10,-/hour private lesson, Centro Habana.
Every hour you put into learning to dance salsa/casino will yield you big returns in fun, not to mention the respect of your Cuban friends - go for it.

Have you gone to enjoy his group at “Cocodrilo Verde” (well, in case you know enough Spanish as to understand our comedians)?

Gilbert and his wife Nat are very good on what they do, right?
