LP didn't like a word i used so i will rephrase.

Ok. You're into putas. I have no issue with that at all. Just don't pretend to preach as if you know Cuba.

The Ugly American comes to mind.

It's an insult to my Cuban wife of 14 years.

And, no, you don't pay 1/2 in advance. Another ignorant post..lol

Gres the girl with house in miramar wouldve had it boughr by a foreign novio. Im familiar with the industry because a family member has been in it since I knew her 6 years ago in the high end scene. They make decent money but they are by no means making western incomes. The odd one scores a dumb yuma who thinks hes buying a retirement home. I suspect your right that its the 30 somethings that are well kept that catch the bigger fish. Its a more realistic sell for the older wealthier guys. Hard to make a 60 year old believe the 18 year old loves him but the 35 year old a different story. Plus he could take her around his friends and colleagues much easier.

One would have thought that the woman in Miramar had the house purchased for her. Amazingly, not. Why i mentioned her. She saved her money and purchased it on her own. She must be very high end and has a string of regular, not your average, Yuma boyfriends.

A morena.

Gres thats very impressive then. She must have been on generous allowance(s). I.e. between her sponsors getting several thousand a month.

The best a pure jinetera without sponsors is gonna make is 2kish average a month. The expenses are simply too high between the clothes, the hair, the taxis, the cover charges, the minimum consumption charges etc.

30 x $100 is about the maximum in come = $3,000 (Very unlikely this distribution of all $100 but I figure its possible if you get a few stupid ones)

Covers = 30 x 10 = $300. Some covers are $5 but others are 15 or $25.

Taxis = $15 x 30 = $450

Throw in some hair (extensions, keratina, nails, clothes etc.)

They also probably don't work 30 days a month. (As there is a time of month that would make business a little more complicated)

Even those numbers are pretty generous. I had once heard a story of a Cuban jinetera on a $6,000 a month allowance. It would be a situation like that which would allow for buying an expensive home in Miramar. Of course its possible that a girl could've saved $1,000 a month for several years and bought something many years ago. I've heard of plenty of girls working in Havana and then going back and buying a house in their smaller town or provincial city.

A regular chica at a bar or club doesn't pay the cover. They have a deal with the doorman and the bartenders. Order expensive drinks which are water and a bit of fruit juice, for color. Also makes sense that the girls don't get drunk. You never know what psychopath you may end up with. Better to have your wits about you.

When management checks the inventory... Rum/beer... Nothing is amiss. Bartenders, servers, doorman, pocket the proceeds.

In the more obvious higher end jinetera clubs, the women are a select group, perfectly groomed, well dressed and very attractive and its almost impossible for a newbie to break in. The club being the chulo, the women, the stable. That way, prices can be controlled.

You're the one putting labels on people. All I'm interested is people not getting ripped off. The selective outrage is interesting. Even if not expected, paying half in advance yields the provider peace of mind, making it easier to provide better service.

Boy did we get off of topic.

All I wanted to know was, is there any way he can bring her up to Canada if he's not married to her but will be the father of her baby (even if he's not he will put his name on the Birth certificate he says)

Somehow the phrase "ugly Ametican" gets dragged into Cuba by Canadians and Europeans, when Americans have comprised the smallest number of tourists in Cuba since Cuba allowed tourism and possibly until the last 2 years. The ugly American is more myth than reality, lots of ugly tourists from many other parts of the world beyond America,especially in Cuba.
