for him in Florida....he is no doubt without power and will be back soon. Thought of Bob as Irma got him twice in Florida and his other home Cuba. Hope all is okay Bob.

He's high and dry above the flood line in a solid house with - and I quote from his last email - "... enough rum, tequila, vodka, gin, whiskey, and scotch to last for at least 2-3 months..."
I'm sure he's without power though, thus the radio silence. Plus, not having ice for his drinks will really piss him off too. That's an actual hardship.
Hope things are cool with you, Bob.
Cheers,
Terry
I see that Bob has been posting again, so he must be OK , unless his account has been hacked by the enemy at large!

Pretty much sums it up. No electricity for a week. No ice for 5 days. House is OK, just a lot of trees down. Thanks to my time in Cuba, I had no problems cooking something for dinner on the charcoal grill then letting it sit out on the counter until I ate the leftovers for lunch the next day or having a drink that was just some room temperature rum in a glass. Oh, and living without air conditioning and the cold water showers.
Biggest problem was going to bed at 9PM because there was nothing else to do then waking up at 4AM because that is all I can sleep.
Bob - in a glass ? Haven't they got you drinking straight from the bottle yet ?
Yes, sitting in the park with friends in Cuba. But at home I still like a glass, even with an ice cube in it if there is some. But I will never acquire a taste for mojitos, daiquiris, or Cuba libres.

Rum, neat or maybe a good single malt. That's about 90% of my hard liquor consumption. Lots of wine, also...lol
I do like mojitos...jeje
Glad that the hurricane didn't inconvenience you too much.
