Ask around for the park where the Havana Metros play. Make your way over there and ask around for the head of security, a tall good looking white guy named Alberto. He's a semi-pro player himself. Tell him you were referred by the Cuban-American that gave him a St. Louis Cardinals cap a few years ago, also named Alberto. He's a really nice and friendly guy, and may be able to introduce you around to some fellow players, invite you to a game or workout, etc. Email me directly, and I'll email you his photo.
Gift suggestions ...
a) Go to your local sporting goods store, and buy an official scoring book. Make a ton of photocopies, double sided, and create a bunch of books. The pro teams I saw didn't even have a score card for their games, so you'll be a big hit with the big boys.
b) Go to your local thrift shops, and buy up a bunch of second hand baseball caps, jersies, gloves, etc. the kids will love you.

Kolja, don't stress yourself out and go with what you have. It's not your responsibility to clothes the baseball team and I suggest you give what you have to the kids playing baseball in the streets and to the school. If the big boys playing baseball are any good Fidel will look after them.
Alberto thanks, I might even go and look for Alberto to have a practice with the pros. As for the suggestions, I would gladly do that, but Croatia is not a baseball country and we get all those stuff through internet, but I did take some of my baseball related T-shirts and hats to give out (Croatian teams). I'm -2 hours to take off so it is a little hard to organize copying scoresheets.
Looking forward for playing ball there.
