I'm reaching out to double check my itinerary for CR this June and would appreciate any feedback you can share. My family consists of mom, dad and kids are 19 & 17. So we are up for some adventure, hiking, ziplining and capping it off with a beach stay.
Our first day is basically travel with a connecting flight in San Salvadore, arriving late in San Jose, so spending the night when we arrive - and not counting it as part of our 8 days.

I am a solo female traveler planning to take the bus from Liberia, Costa Rica to Granada, Nicaragua to visit my grandma. This will probably be the last opportunity I will get to see her. We're taking a bus from Panama City to San Jose in a few weeks. The bus arrives at 3am in San Jose bus terminal. Just wanted to know if it's easy/safe to get a cab to our hotel from here at that time or should we try and find a daytime arrival?
