Hi
Anybody checked this place out? WE are a family of 4 (2 adults, kids 9 and 12)....are there kid friendly activities? The place sounds a bit touristy??? Activities like cave tubing seem expensive? We have 4 days at the end of our trip open for now...after a week at Glovers Atoll....drumming up ideas.
Another idea is taking in the culture of Hopkins..drumming etc.
or perhaps the Jaguar Reserve....anybody have info on this?
other thoughts....prior tp Glovers we will have been in San Ignacio and…
We are a gay couple from Canada, trveling next mo. to Costa Rica, any advice or tips.

Two questions in one post!
1) Does anyone know if there's a map of where to find the prehistoric esferas (granite spheres) in the field (not San Jose)? I am really interested in learning more about them. I already know we can hike to them on Isla Caño and at a city park in Palmar Sur; both places are on our itinerary. I have read that there are a bunch at a place called Fina 6, half-way between Palmar Sur and Sierpe; anyone know if their are tours of this private finca?
2) Has anyone ever dealt…
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if it is worth a trip for turtle nesting in the beginning/middle of July? Will we see any turtles at all? We're only going to CR for about a week, so trying to plan which area to visit...if not a lot of turtles then, will probably stick with another plan.
Thanks for your help!

Hi all,
Has anyone ever been to the festival in Puntarenas in July? Wondering if it is worth taking the time out of our tight schedule to go check out...we'll be in the general area around the weekend of the 14th-15th.
Thanks!

Hi
I am travelling to Honduras next week from Antigua Guatemala. My shuttle is due to arrive in La Ceiba at 16.30, which will no doubt be too late to catch the last ferry to Roatan, which from my understanding leaves at 16.30. I wanted to stay soimewhere safe (as I am a female traveller travelling sola) and central so that it will be easy for me to catch the first ferry in the morning. I was hoping to find reasonably priced accommodation to fit these criterion......any suggestions???
Thank you in…
Hi all,
I'll be in the Guatemala/Yucatan/Belize region for about a month in April and I'm looking to do a nice rainforest trek of maybe 5-6 days and maybe a few day-hikes. Seeing wildlife/ruins along the way would be a plus. Suggestions?

Forgot to mention this before: On my recent trip thru Mexico, I met an Aussie who had been in Antigua the previous week. He told me he spent every night at the same bar--one that was owned and being run (part time) by an American who was a member of a well known Country Western band out of Nashville, Tennessee. Said the guy has music every night, usually with him playing with local musicians. He couldn't recall the name of the bar but said it is between the Parke and the market.
I can't picture…
I have just 3 days to spend on the coast of Nicaragua. What beach would you recommend.... which has the best scenery, the best town, the best local color?
I've heard a lot of Las Penitas and San Juan del Sur...but I'd like your opinion on where the best place to spend 3 days is?
Can you recommend any good hotels/hostals near the beach you recommend?
Thanks,
Dan / seattle
