I travelled from Chetumal to Belize last week and can't tell if I misread the information on-line or if it was wrong.
My understanding was that there were frequent buses starting early in the morning. The first bus actually showed up at 9:30. And yes, at the old bus station and not the new market. I am considering central America for 2,5/3 weeks holiday in January. I am looking for a destination where I can have fairly decent beaches for my partner and scuba diving for me plus, if possible, the possibile to have to something to do in a lazy day like cultural sightseeing.

I have a question regarding the storage/security of your luggage while traveling. For example, do you use a flightbag over you backpack with a lock on it? Or do you use just a lock? Or nothing? When you are traveling by bus and your backpack is out of sight/in the cabin, how do you keep it safe?

I have followed this forum closely for the past few months (and learnt a lot!), but this is the first time I ask for help! I’m going to Costa Rica in August and will meet up with a friend. We have one week together and then I have a couple of days on my own both before and after his stay. Wondering if anyone has taken the boat from Moin To Tortuguero in late December/January and how rough it might be? I was in Panama at the same time last year and the boat to San Blas as well as to Bocas were mighty rough. Wondering if it will be the same from Moin to Tortuguero. Don't think I could make it 3 hrs in the same type of conditions as the 30 to 40 min boat ride in Panama.
