I'm in Costa Rica the 17 th of January to around the 24 th and are looking for people to meet up with and travel around to explore Costa Rica,

The country will be jamming that time of year, if you stay in Hostels you should not have any issue meeting like minded travelers. You are only there 7 days, which is time for 2-3 areas and they will need to be close by each other.

I would suggest you head to the caribe side for nature/wildlife and nice beaches and good food/nightlife, all via public transport.

Tortuguero Rainforest & Canals NP
Cahuita NP
Pt Viejo area beaches south to Manzanillo
Raft the Rio Pacuare.

You will meet people when you get there and in person which is much better.
