Tikal to Flores by night?

Hi All,
Is it possible to ride from Tikal to Flores after a sunset tour, in order to be closer to the Flores morning flight to GC?
Is it advisable?

I was over that road a half dozen times last winter, a few after dark; the highway is potholed up in some stretches, there are always stray cows, pigs, horses, dogs, bicycles, cars and trucks with no running lights along the road. You just need to be careful.

I only uses my card in Antigua at places where I know the owners personally, or places like McDonalds. As far as ATMs... just check to make sure the card slot hasn't been modified (people glue card readers over the actual slot) and cover your hand when you enter the PIN in case there is a hidden camera and you should be fine.

Hi Roni, Sure you can return to Flores at night if you have a good driver. I would find a good taxi guy for that. It is probably better to get to Tikal in the afternoon, visit the ruins for sunset, sleep in the park, get up early for the Sunrise, leave Tikal for Flores around 10 and get a room in Flores for your flight out the next morning. I think that is what I would do based on your limited information
