Tela/Cayos Cuchinos/Utila/Guatemala

Hey Folks,

2 friends and I are heading to Honduras next week. Currently are plan is to get into san pedro sula at 1pm on the 18th and are head straight to tela. We will spend the afternoon and night in tela and early on the 19th head to sambo creek to catch a ride to cayos cuchinos at 1pm. I have a few questions:

1. Is it true that we need to make the boat trip from Sambo to Cayos Cuchinos early in the morning? If so, how earlier?
2. Has anyone stayed at the East End cabanas on Cayos Cuchinos that are booked through Jose Fransisco Velasuquez?
3. Should we spend more than one night in Cayos Cuchinos?
4. Can you get from Cayos Cuchinos to Utila, or do you need to return to the mainland?

As suggested above we will be going from Cayos Cuchinos to Utila--after Utila, our next stop is livingston, guatemala--is there a boat from Utila to Livingston?

I'm sorry I don't have any answers to your questions; only more questions. I was wondering what you've heard about safety in Honduras. Our embassy says traveling there is a bad idea. What have you heard?

We're only thinking of traveling through from El Salvador to Nicaragua.
