Status of Dave at Casa Viva in Punta Uva

I had heard Dave who owns Casa Viva in Punta Uva was ill...have emailed them for an update on his status, but have received no replies....anyone who is in PV area at the present time heard anything about his health status? I have come to think of him as a friend and am concerned about him...any info would be appreciated...
