Spanish school for teenage son

Country forums / Central America / Nicaragua

Any suggestions for a great place to study Spanish with my 13 year-old son? I'm looking for a school experienced in working with his age group and also a place that offers actvities that would interest him while not in class. We've been to Antigua, Guatemala and I'd like to try some place new. Thanks in advance!

I've read (on this board and in the footprints guidebook) that Casa Xalteva is good. It's a charity for children also so there will be kids around your son's age too.

MY SON IS 21 YEARS OLD. WE HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THE SCHOOL VIA EMAIL. HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE FLYING FROM MIAMI DIRECT TO MANAGUA ON MAY 2, 2009. I HAVE CALLED THE TELELPHONE NUMBERS POSTED ON THE WEBSITE. THE LINE IS "BUSY" ALWAYS. I AM GETTING CONCERNED THAT SOMETHING ISN'T QUITE RIGHT. I AM NOT GOING TO PUT HIM ON A PLANE UNTIL I GET MORE CONCRETE ASSURANCE THAT SOMEONE IS ON THE OTHER END OF ALL THIS. I AM LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK, IF YOU HAVE ANY. THANKS. PS. THE SCHOOL IS CASA XALTEVA IN GRANDAD.

Thanks, I have decided on Ixbalenque in Honduras. I do have a friend who is planning on attending Casa Xalteva and he seems confident about the program (I've also read quite a few positive reviews of their program).
