You gotta visit the small, laid- back, outback town of Pedasi, Panama

Pedasi is growing but not the multi-story type of growth you find in many places...... The tallest building in town is the church on the square.

Scuba Diving, Sport Fishing, Snorkeling, Turgtle Tours, Horseback riding, whale watching are just part of the adventures you will find in Pedasi. Several hotels but none of them very large. Pedasi Sports Club at the entrance to Pedasi offers all of the tours and hotel with pool, hot water, air condition, breakfast, etc, etc. They have just now opened a Uni-Sex Backpackers dorm w/ AC, h/w, sat. TV, honor bar, etc.

In conversation this morning the price of $18 was mentioned for the dorm with all resort privledges.

There are no other Backpackers facilities in or around Pedasi.

The hotel is a PADI Resort and they have a full dive training center also.

Another option is Miami Mike's Hostel in Chitre (north of Pedasi). A dorm is only 9.00, tax included. We offer free luggage storage if you are traveling further south to Pesdai or Playa Venao.
