Palenque to Flores the DIY way (Bethel accomodation)

Dear all,

I would like to avoid the packaged tours for going from Palenque to Flores and go by my own instead. So I plan to head to Frontera Corozal by combi, take a tour to Yaxchilan and back and then....
My plan would be to take the 5am Pinita bus from Bethel to Flores the next day and spend the night in the border area. But now I found out that lanchas are not going early enough that I could spend the night in Frontera Corozal. So I need to go to Bethel the first day late afternoon - does anybody know when the last lancha to Bethel leaves? And I need some accomodation in Bethel. On the internet a certain "Posada Maya Bethel" is mentioned and recommended, however I cannot get any contact to them - all telephone numbers I find online are not valid anymore. Does anyone know whether this posada still exists and how to contact them?

No need to take a package tour. you can do it all yourself in a day. Night before check out of Immigration in Santo Domingo de Palenque. Border station in Mexico often not open at the border itself. Catch early am bus to Frontera Corazal. . Get off bus and book boat ride to Guatemala to Bethel. Check in at border station in Corazal and then bus onward age to Flores. Photos of my crossing see wolf calls.comI, If you want to see ruins Frontear Corazal has some nice place to spend the night and then you could go on the next am. Actually did ruins and then went on to Bethel myself and then on to Flores all in one day.
