open water diving in Belize

Hi there,

we are two guys who are going to Belize in 5 days to get a diving certification. Can anyone recommend a good - and not to expensive - company? Our plan is to do it at Caye Caulker.
Do we have to book in advance?

There are only 3 or 4 companies. I went with Belize Diving Services many years ago. Frenchies is also supposed to be good. They both had big boats. Like anything else it all depends on who your instructor is and these things can change. Just walk around and see what is what. They can start you any day you wish.
