October/November weather in Puerto Viejo?

We going to be in Puerto Viejo for 2 weeks sometime in October/November.
I know those two months can be pretty wet. Any idea of how much rain I can expect?
It is the typical hard rain for a few hours and then nice during the rest of the day?
