Motorcycle rental in Nica.

Has anyone actually rented, or seen or heard of anyone renting motorcycles/mopeds in Nica? In an organized fashion or from a private individual?
Any country-specific answers would be greatly appreciated. Please refrain from reporting about Asian experiences.

There are at least 3 motorcycle rental places on Ometepe Island, Nicaragua. A friend of mine started renting motorcycles in Moyogalpa and he is very successful.
We rented a motocycle and took it around the island. The Merida side of the island was really rough riding as it is all rocky and unpaved.

you can rent motorbikes in Hanoi and Luang Prabang, too... ups, I mean Granada and San Juan del Sur. Cost is generally around US$25 per day and they are 125-175cc "off road" bikes. Some stores provide helmets, but few locals use them, so they may not have one. I assume you know enough to give the bike a once over (particularly the rear brake and clutch) before taking it out.
