Lamanai tours

Does anyone know what tme the river tours leave for Lamanai? And do you have to book the day before? I´m currently in Chetumal, on the way to Caye Caulker, but would like to do the trip on the way if possible. I´m crossing the border early tomorrow. Thanks.

Around 9 or 9:30 a.m. Not necessary to book the day before this time of year.

Just to answer my own question - as above, tours usually leave at 9am. In low season, they don't necessarily run every day - I think I may be the only tourist in Orange Walk right now! No river trips today. Did the trip by road with a tour guide, cost a bit more and the road's very slow but it was great and well worth it.

who said, no river trips? the road tour guide? it's possible that the provider of one service may so lie to get an edge on the competition.

I did also ask at the tour offices to check what I had been told. I was basically the only tourist there except a group from San Pedro.
