Hostel near Airport in Managua

Hi, can anyone recommend a hostel near the Managua Airport and within walking distance of the Best Western?

I don't think there are any hostels within walking distance of the Best Western. If there are, I would love to know. What is your budget ? If the Best Western is too expensive, you can do what we do. Take a taxi ($10 would be good but if you don't bargain it will be closer to $15 and the airport taxis will most likely start much higher... if you arrive during the day you can walk to the street and take a taxi there) to for example Nicaragua Guesthouse ($20 single, $28 double) or La Casa de los Abuelos ($20 single, $40 double), 15 minutes from the airport. At both breakfast is included and it is a safe area.

Thank you, Sonia. I got an email from my daughter who is heading to Managua tomorrow from Leon on a shuttle and she needs to stay over night before going to the Corn Islands. The shuttle drops them off at the Best Western and she won't pay that much for a hotel but couldn't figure out where to go.

Sonia, Have you heard of Airport X Managua. It's less than a kilometer from airport and is $50 for 2 with
continental breakfast.

I had not heard of Airport X but I just checked TA and the hotel is apparently brand new (and two weeks ago still under construction) but reviews are good so I would go for it.

Just booked it. I'll have her put in a review when she gets back to the States at the end of the month. Thanks.
