Anybody knows a good driver to go from Coplan to Rio Dulce ? Or a good company hiring good drivers ??
Here are 2 transportation providers I’ve been pleased with in Guatemala for share shuttles, private transfers, and flight arrangements: Our favorite private driver, Alfredo Garcia, is bilingual, personable, prompt, and safe, and has nice vehicles: alf.transport@yahoo.com If you're interested in arranging a private shuttle with a Honduran driver, I've had great success with Miguel Martel; he is also bilingual, reliable, and great company. andresik04@hotmail.com Happy trails! | 1
How long will you have in Copan? It's a small town and pretty easy to walk around to hostels/cafes/bars and taxi's to ask for prices. Always haggle and the earlier you let transport know the better. | 2
Thank you Hopefulist for those good infos. | 3
probably a couple of nights. | 4
Call the numbers above and ask around when in town, it's OK to haggle but don't be a dick. I would figure any price under $150us for a vehicle, not per person, is good. Ask around on your first day and keep asking, making sure they know your serious, you'll see the price drop a little. Don't be surprised if they bring a friend or relative as they might want to stay after dropping you off, it's a win, win situation. You also determine the pickup time, it's about a 4.5 hour drive to the boats | 5
