Derek's place - Credit cards?k's

Hello,

We are heading to Derek's place on Corn Island tomorrow and are planning the money to take with us since there isn't any ATM there. Does anyone know if Derek's place accepts visa or mastercard?

As far as I know the only place that accepts credit cards on that side of the island is Iguanas. The rest is cash only. Whatever you are planning to bring, bring more. I would have happily stayed longer had I not run out of money and dreaded the trip to Big Corn.

Dont count on using a credit card on remote island in a poor developing country, be thankful they even have electricity 24/7.

I understand what you mean Solohobo, but since the dive shop has already confirmed that they accept credit cards, i didn´t think this was such a long shot in this case... thanks anyway.

Actually, Little Corn doesn't have electricity 24/7 but that's all part of the fun.
Which dive shop are you using? Dolphin has a hotel where you can use your card but I wasn't a big fan of that side of the island. The other side is far more gorgeous.

I know Iguana and the dive shop take it but I doubt if Derek's would, or anyolace else for that matter, except maybe Dolphines. There is an ATM on Big Corn at the bank in town if you need some extra cash to take with you.
