Climbing Volcan Baru

Country forums / Central America / Panama

Hello together,

i am very interested in climbing the volcan Baru near Boquete.

I have found in the internet only trips with one day but i like to spend the night on top of the volcan.
or one the way to the top...

Does anyone offers such a trip?
Or can someone recommend a personal guide for such a trip.

The sleeping could be in a tent or somthing else.

And

i like to do such a trip trekking through La Amistad. Guide if possible with one overnight in the Rainforest.
some questions as above...

Thank you very much

Hi,

Personally I prefer the camping option as it's easier on the body and more enjoyable in general. You won't feel rushed and you'll be able to enjoy the whole experience... and yes, sleeping is in a tent... if it rains a bit you surely don't want to be all wet in those cold temperatures!!!

Here you'll find more info about a guided hike and camping trip to the top of Volcan BarĂº:

And for a hike and camp through La Amistad departing from Boquete:

Enjoy!

i hope to get an answer from them soon.

Is it necessary to hire a guide? We do 10+ mile hikes constantly so I'm not sure why I'd spend that much money on a guide.
