bus from belize to guatemala (tikal)

Hallo,
I'm travelling through Central America this summer and I start by flying in to Belize, before flying out of Managua 5 weeks later. Because my trip is for more than 30 days, I need to show proof that I will be leaving Belize within that time and I don't want to buy a flight out of Belize. So does anyone know how I could book a bus from Belize into Guatemala online, in advance, so that when I fly in, I can prove I'll be leaving the country?! It may be that a tour operator would be as much help as a bus company, as I've looked at several bus company sites and can't see how to book a one-way ticket out of Belize.

Hi Cath, To whom do you have to show proof that you will be moving on? Is it the airlines? Belize doesn't ask you for a return ticket.

Hi guys - thanks for your responses - really helpful. Greggo, my travel agent suggests that, because UK nationals are allowed 30 days in Belize, and my return flight is out of Managua 35 days later, when I arrive in Belize they will want some proof that I will be leaving Belize within 30 days - but you say that won't be so?

I'm guessing British citizens can stay in Belize longer than 30 days. You just need to pay BZ$50.00 after 30 days and get your passport stamped again.

I've a US citizen, have been in Belize for three months, just have to get the passport stamped every 30 days. No one has ever asked me for proof of a return ticket in over 20 trips here.
