Hello! Its 4am and I've been spending my last few restless nights trying to work out how I'm going to go from panama to colombia. I have read many posts, but am unable to find much feedback on the 3 night fast boat option- sometimes referred as The Darian Gapster, sometimes referred to San Blas Adventures. Does anyone have first hand knowledge? I'm keen to do it as although I,d like to relax at sea I'd rather spend the time relaxing on the beach! I have found one trip report on thorn tree, which…
Hi lonely planetears
My friend suggested I ask a few questions on this page
I'm selling a car in panama I bought in California and the buyer is driving it back to California. Once I file a transfer and release of reliability and have a bill of sale and release is there anything else I have to do?
I have the title which will be signed over to him. Can this come back to bite me?
Thanks a lot
Hi
My boyfriend and I are travelling from Panama to Colombia around the end of the year and wondering if anyone can recommend a catamaran to go on. We have heard Gypsy Moth is great, but unfortunately no longer running. We dont want to go on a huge party boat but dont want to be stuck on a boat with older couples and families either. We are bot mid 20's.
Can anyone recommend a good catamaran or share their experiences?
Thanks
Anyone want to share a boat ride to Isla Coiba for a day trip or, preferably an overnighter in August? We're 2 people already and wanted to make it a small group (of 4-6) to share the high boat and fuel costs ($300 or thereabouts including fuel, just for a daytrip).
Happy to leave from either Puerto Mutis or Santa Catalina.
We're in Panama for the last 2 weeks of August, so contact me if you're around at the same time and want to visit Coiba.
Also, see this thead for another couple in exactly…
Hello All,
We will be traveling by bus from bocas to punta burica (to stay at Tigre selvaje or mono feliz) but I'm pretty certain that will be difficult to do in one day. So we need a place to break up the trip and I was thinking puerto armuelles.
Could anyone recommend a place with the usual safe, clean, and cheap...suitable for a family.....in puerto armuelles?
Or is there another city or town you would recommend that we overnight in?
Thanks in advance!
Hi!
I'm travelling to Panama 07/20/2014-07/27/2014. Would be nice to meet other travellers/locals. :)
I have been looking online for a relatively cheap place to stay(hostel, guest house) in or near el valle, but have not found much. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, would it be a problem to arrive in El Valle at night about 7 or so and look for a place?
Thanks in advance

Also, would it be a problem to arrive in El Valle at night about 7 or so and look for a place? Also, I will be arriving at Tocumen at 2:30 PM. Would that give me time to make it up to El Valle the same day, or would I do better overnighting in PC?
Thanks in advance
Hi folks
Am travelling for a month in July/August, roughly 50/50 between Colombia and Panama. Would very much appreciate any advice on the logistics of the itinerary below.
3 nights Panama City
2 nights San Blas (if anyone has recommendations for tour agencies that would be very helpful)
Night bus to Boquete/Cerro Punta
3 nights Boquete/Cerro Punta
3 nights Bocas del Toro
Night bus to Panama City
Thanks so much!
Hello,
We are traveling to Panama in a few weeks and are interested in staying in a cloud forest for one or two nights. We were originally looking at Los Quetzales, but are open to other suggestions. We are looking to spend less than $40-50/night per person (we're a group of 3). Any favorite areas? We don't need a resort or any fancy meals. Really we just want a cool place that has good access to trails. We are interested in hiking (at least 5+ mile trails). We understand that most hikes need…
