Just wanted to let a secret out...this place was a whole lot of fun. It is a new lodge, think only open for 6 months. They say it is Panama´s only jungle hostel!! We heard about it from other travelers that said it was awesome cuz it is so unique. So, trish and I set out to find the elusive lost hostel. Turns out really that we were not the only ones finding it by word of mouth, cuz there were already 12 people there. Saw more wildlife here than we have seen on our 7 month trip. Also this…
Anybody in Central America (maybe more specificaly Panama) could help me?
I'm planning on crossing the Pacific by boat, catching a ride (crewing) a sailing boat from Panama. Is anybody there at the moment who is in contact with sailing people that could tell me what are the odds of sucess in this?? I mean, how easy is it to find a boat to crew heading to the Marquesas, Tahiti and Australia?!?
I know people tned to leave the Caribbean around this time and cross the canal for the Pacific, so I want…

Hi,
Does anyone know if the Colectivo at the Panama City Airport goes directly to your hotel in Panama City? How much does it cost? I can have a private transfer organized by my hotel pick me up for $33 but I was wondering if it was cheaper via Colectivo - that is if it goes directly to my hotel.
Thanks.
Hi all
Will be taking a cruise out of San Juan, Puerto Rico in late March, and trying to work out whether to buy clothes, suit, suitcase, shoes etc. in San Juan, or in Panama, where I'll be beforehand.
Any views on the costs of clothes, suits, shoes etc, and best value places to purchase them, would be welcome.
Thanks in advance

Hi people,
Some advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for a suggested mid range small hotel / resort somewhere on the Pacific Coast outside Panama City - I understand the region between Chame and Santa Clara has lots of options? Any suggestions up to $100 per night? I don't do big resorts or crowded places....
Also planning a bit of a road trip around the Azuero Peninsula - any must sees? Or similar beach hotels? Where are the turtles in mid-march?
Cheers!
Hi all
Do any hotel, hostels offer free shuttles to/from the airport? Or is it just a case of getting a taxi into town (in which case how much for a trip around 6p.m. at night?)
Thanks in advance for any replies

Yes, it's that time again!
Time for the biggest international fair in all of Central America!
The International Fair of San Jose is right around the corner, starting on March 6th and ending on March 16th in David City, Panama. It's named after the patron saint.
10 days of 24 hour fun and events. I stress that. 24 hours for 10 days.
Shopping, folklore, agriculture, rodeos, artesania, rides, food, drink, discoteca. Only costs $1.00 to enter. (Special attractions are additional).

Hi all,
Im leaving for Costa Rica in May, and would like to travel to Panama as well. I have one month, total, for both.
My plan is to hang around Puerto Viejo, and then cross to Bocas del Toro in Panama. From there I would love to go to San Blas, but my final flight back to New York is from Costa Rica, which means, I think:
Flight from Bocas to Panama City, flight from PC to San Blas, flight back from San Blas to PC, and then a flight from PC to San Jose-Costa Rica, so I can fly back home.
