As anyone been to Armila?

Apparently it is a town near Puerto Obaldia that has a major leatherback turtle nesting beach. I can't find much info beyond that...

Thanks, Josh

Hello,

My wife and I are going to be travelling from Colombia to Panama along the Caribbean coast in early April.

Based on my research, it seems like the most difficult part of this trip is getting from Puerto Obaldia to points northward in the San Blas Islands.

We would much appreciate any tips anyone has for making this trip.

Also, recommendations for moderately priced places to stay along the way (Sapurzzo, Capurgana, San Blas Islands) would be helpful.

Thanks!

Josh

According to some information, an onward ticket is required when entering Panama. If you leave by sea into Columbia, then what sort of "proof" of your intended departure route have you shown to the Panamian immigration people when you arrived? It seems that you can't book that sort of departure online, therefore, it's not possible to show the authorities some sort of onward ticket.

Or, do the authorites never ask for an onward ticket anyway? Would that apply to an flight arrival and a…

Hi

I've never posted here before, but i've been reading your tips and you have already helped me a lot! :)

Now I have a question..
I am heading to Panama 2morrow. Later this week I am planning on flying from PC to Bocas del Toro but I can't seem to figure out how to book online.
Is it even possible? I can only request a reservation, which i did last week but still haven't got an answer. How do/did you do it?

cheers
Berglind

I'm arriving next Sun in Panama city. Is there a hostel/mid range hotel someone could recommend in Panama city, somewhere that I'll safe, near night life/restaurants and other travellers. I'll be travelling solo.

Or if people can't recommend a place is there an area of the city thats best to stay in. Thanks in advance

Hello!

I am travellling to Panama for a romantic week on the beach.

We fly into Panama City but would like to do the rest of the trip by bus - largely due to our limited budget.

I have been reading up about San Blas as it seems to be the most accesible amazing beach setting from Panama City. But the truth is I work on a project on indigenous rights in South America and I get the sense I might find it difficult to switch of from work-mode being in this region!

Can anyone recommend other…

I'm traveling to Panama for a week July 8th with my girlfriend. I would like to venture around to some chill surf towns, stay on the beach and catch some good waves. Live music, fun vibes.

I've heard Santa Carolina is a great spot - Also parts of Colon. I know absolutely nothing about Panama, I want to reach out and see if I can get some help on where to stay, eat and surf with in 5 hours around Panama city.

Low to Moderate spending would be great. Surf Rentals a must.

Any help would be great…

Any ideas of how to do this much appreciated.. e.g. what are the best bits we should focus on so we're not travelling all the time and some of the undiscovered spots...

Thanks!

The Passion of The Christ. Pese: 6 of April(Good Friday)

A live reenactment of the final days of Jesus will be held in the tiny hamlet of Pese,Herrera Province in the heart of the Azuero Peninsula. With over 100 actors and a masssive stage show!
This is not too somber of an event, after the plays Seco rum will be flowing fluently since Pese is also where the national drink is made as well. Tours of the distillery are poosible too.
Pese is only a 15 minute bus ride from Chitre.

Hi all,

I'm going to be landing in Panama city from Ireland on Easter Sun Apr 8th. I'll be in Panama for a month.

1) I know the beaches will be packed with Semana Santa, will I be ok in Panama city regarding accomodation? ( I plan on flying on to Bocas del Toro a day or 2 later)

2) Will the beaches be still really busy in the week following Holy Week. Will I have trouble getting somewhere to stay in Bocas.

3) Is there a hostel/mid range hotel someone could recommend in Panama City, somewhere…
