The flights I am looking at booking are 2 hours apart - between arriving Tocumen and leaving Albrook for Bocas del Toros. (Arrival time is 1:50pm to Tocumen, department is 4:00pm from Albrook) From reading other posts in the past, it seems it will take around 1 hour to travel to by cab. Also that the lines at Albrook are not long so security should be quick. Do you concur? It's been a while since someone posted recently so I wanted a more up to date opinion given changes in traffic / rush hour over the years. Thanks!

On Tuesday the 8th, I took a taxi from Tocumen to the Albrook Mall at 4:30pm. It took about 20 minutes. The driver used the toll road which had very light traffic. I paid $22.

Arriving on an international flight it can be 30 minutes or more just to get out of the airport, surely ?
And I suspect that taxi ride was very lucky. I have seen the toll road solid at that time of day.

It was 20 minutes from the time I walked out of the airport with my luggage and got a taxi until I arrived at Albrook.
I was expecting a lot more traffic even on a toll road at that time of day.
It took about 20 minutes to get my luggage and get through customs/immigration.
It was all surprisingly quick!
