Hi all,

My boyfriend and I were planning 8 days in Panama starting Friday but got turned away at the airport check-in because my passport was within six months of expiring. Be careful! This rule was mentioned in neither my guidebook nor the state department Panama page. We were not able to rebook because Continental required that we buy new tickets and of course all the flights leaving in the next week are ridiculously expensive. So we had to scrap the whole trip.

Now I'm seriously in the doghouse and trying to recoup whatever costs from the trip we can. I have a $318.04 credit on Aeroperlas that corresponded to our two roundtrip tickets to Bocas del Toro. I'm selling it for $250 - a 27% discount! It can be used toward any Aeroperlas flight. Please contact me at zatzzie at gmail dot com for more information.

Our loss is your gain!!

Thanks,
Josie

Hard lesson. The six month rule applies to just about anywhere not just Panama.
