Greetings,

My wife and I are planning on flying from Panama City to Kuna Yala. We will be travelling with a 16 month-old toddler, and will spend a couple of nights in the islands.

Are there any recommendations or concerns for travelling with our toddler (inter-island boats, etc.)?

Any suggested itineraries, precautions, overnight accommodations, highlights, with our youngster in tow?

Thank you for any and all input.

Google sailing panama and book a berth on a sailboat, great way to see the islands.

I am sure the islands are safe and fun for a toddler. Plus, there are tons of cruise ships stopping by god forbid something happened. However, just be careful to note, these islands are very crude. Some of the best places to stay in are huts. Many boats are dug-out canoes. I would ask a local travel agency for more help.

Thanks, Sharon. I am an adventurous type myself, but my biggest concern is taking a toddler on the dugouts with rough water.
