Panama City to San Jose

I´D TAKE THE LATE NIGHT BUS TO CHAGANOLA, TAKE THE LOCAL BUS TO THE FRONTIERA, GET YOUR PASS PORT EXIT STAMPED AND CROSS THE BRIDGE TO SIXOLA AND ENTRY STAMP TO C.R. AND CATCH THE BUS FROM SIXOLA TO PUERTO VIEJO. (OR YOU CAN GET OFF THE CHAGANOLA BUS AT ALMERETE, AND WATER TAXI TO BOCAS IF THAT FLOATS YOUR BOAT).
HANG FOR A FEW DAYS THEN ON TO SAN JOSE.

Boquete, Panama is a nice little place.

BOQUETE is on the way and it is definetely worth it.
You make a stop at DAVID then take the bus from DAVID to BOQUETE only one HOUR trip. 1.45 dollars..!!!

You will enjoy fresh clean air, sweetwater, trek option and beautifull landscape...3 days there is enough.

You would need to take more local busses, as direct busses will not stop most likely, and you waste money getting off early.

so much to do....so little time!
boquete is real nice, but no one mentioned to hot springs on rio chiriqui NEAR boquete! oso in costa rica also v nice but with only 7 days you will be hard pressed to enjoy it there. bocas del toro in panama might suit you better and over the border there great beaches or tortugero for biodiversity
