My husband and I will be in Panama for 9 days in early May and we are thinking of going to the Pedasi area for the majority of our time along with a few days in PC. Air Panama lists Pedasi as one of their destinations but I can't find any flights. Are there no flights there because it's the off season? We'd rather not rent a car but the bus seems pretty complicated and time consuming with a few transfers. Are there any direct buses or shuttles that go to Pedasi from PC? Thanks!

Here s a suggestion.
Private planes only fly into Pedasi and Chitre now.
Take a direct bus from Panama City (Albrook bus terminal ) to Chitre and then pick up a rental in CHitre.
Chitre has an Avis Budget and Thrifty-----
From Chitre to Pedasi its only 1.5 hours by car or 2 hours by bus.

Thanks, Miami Mike! Renting a car in Chitre is a good idea and one I hadn't thought of. That would be much better than trying to navigate ourselves around and out of PC. My only hesitation is that the car rental places are closed on Sundays, when we were hoping to go, and it looks like all the cheaper cars are manual. I can't drive a manual but I guess I can have my husband do all of the driving! Are the car rental places near each other, and near the bus station?
It looks like many of the nice beaches are a little bit of a ways from Pedasi so maybe it's best to have a car there anyway to get around?
