Hello everybody, Im a new member here. Im going to be travelling to South America and Central America for 6 months starting from next month. However, ive got a couple of questions regarding flying from the South America leg of my journey to Panama (which begins the Central America leg of my journey).

Im trying to fly from Caracas to Panama City in May time. At the moment, the kind of price that im finding is around £370 ($450ish) which seems ridiculusly expensive for a 2 hour flight. So can anybody recommend a cheaper website, or is that the going rate?

Secondly, is May a particular peak time for the 2 countries, because ive seen it cheaper in feb/march-will it get cheaper closer the date?

Thirdly, is it best to book a long way in advance for flights or can you get good deals going to the airport on the day? For example, I can find flights for around £150 ($225ish) from Quito to Caracas now, are they likely to get cheaper or more expensive as time moves on (im flying that journey in late April).

Thanks for the advice in advance

Yes, that's the going rate for Venezuela - Panamá flights.
Cheaper options: Check COPA from Port of Spain or Aruba, AIRES from Maracaibo, Aruba or Curacao. Avianca from Caracas.
Anytime now is peak-time for Venezuela - Panamá flights.
You'll have to keep looking on the airlines websites for deals. Sometimes it pays to book in advance, some others not
