So is there a ferry between Panama City and Isla Contadora? And if not, would it be reasonable to fly into Tocumen at 105 pm, and catch the next flight out to contadora? I want to bypass Panama city, and go directly to that island! thanks.

Apparently somebody is going to start a ferry service from the Causeway, but I don't think it's started yet. It's also going to be at least as expensive as flying. Look into the flights with Aeroperlas and Air Panama, but I also heard that the airport in Contadora has been shut for repairs. That may have changed now.

I just heard that the ferry has started, but don't quote me on that!!! It leaves from Isla Flamenco at 8am each morning, but I'd check up on that to make sure.

Not sure if the airport is still closed but note- International flights come in to Tocumen and the flight to Contadora leaves from Albrook on the other side of Panama City.

Runway was about to be finished when we were there february 20, don't know if airstrip has opened again in the meantime.
Enjoy... we loved Contadora!
Villa Romantica is highly recommendable!

Yep - updated information on the ferry in the other thread mentioned above.
Don't know if flights are running again by now, it really looked like they were finished soon with the airstrip renovation.
