I'm headed to Panama soon, and am wondering if most mid-range hotels provide mosquito nets or if it'd be a good idea that I bring my own. My guess is that most places provide them, unless they're equiped with AC and screens, but I'd rather have good advice than my generally lousy guesses.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

"Most"? No. Some, yes, mainly on the Caribbean side. Your only sure bet is to bring your own, or ask each hotel in advance. But if you're going to get bitten, the early morning and evening are the most likely times -- when you probably won't be under your net. Bring DEET (you can get it here, but it costs a bit more).
