Hi,

I'm working on an ecotourism project in Guatemala and as I'm going to Panama from March 18th till March 24th I'm really interested to visit a community in Panama which does ecotours.

Thanks
Claire

In the Bocas Del Toro area is WESCO which is an indian community that does overnight tours in their village. Here is a link http://ocen.bocas.com/contacts/ocen-contacts.htm

Check out these guys as well. I';ve heard some good things and the area is supposed to be great.

1) panoramicpanama.com gives tours to Embera villages (with an optional overnight stay in the village). I can recommend Gustavo as a guide.

2) Igua Jiménez (iguat28 (at) yahoo.com) can organize a tour of Ipeti, a town with both a Kuna and an Embera village across the highway from one another, about 3 hours from Panama City.
