Hi all
Would appreciate any thoughts on our itinerary please. 40/50 aged couple well travelled, first time in Panama. Like culture, history, local eats and drinks, buzzing cities, friendly towns, beaches with facilities, nature and wildlife, easy walks. Will be using public transport (mainly bus, with a flight from Bocas to Panama City at the end).

Days 1-3: Panama City - canal, casco viejo, Panama viejo
4-5: El Valle - easy treks, nature, wildlife
6-9: Farallon area - comfortable beach break with easy access to bars and restos (appreciate this will not necessarily be a Panamanian experience)!
10-12: David/Boquete - maybe base ourselves in David and day trip to Boquete / Las Lajas
13-19: Bocas del Toro - boat trips, snorkelling etc
20: last night in Panama City

Cheers, Kirstie

Looks good, and though I loved Bocas del toro, after 3-4 days it was enough time there. Highly recommend the catamaran/snorkeling trip.
So maybe spend some more time in other areas if you like them enough

Hello,

Looks good...

I would stay 2 days in Panama + 1 day the night before to leave for your country. I agree 3 nights for Bocas are enough. It would allow you to keep 2 days to visit the San Blas Islands from Panama-City which is missing in your itinerary. I would not stay in David... but in Boquete or Cerro Punta (if you want something less touristy) and I would sleep as well in Las Lajas instead of David.

Kind regards from Panama.

Thoughts:

Panama City:
- Eat at Manolo Caracol

Boquete:
- Stay at Coffee Estate Inn
- Eat at Panamonte Inn and Spa
- Trek La Amistad Park

Bocas del Toro:
- Take a catamaran snorkeling trip
- Hire Erwin as a guide for a day if he's still around
