I'm leaving Nicaragua on April 2nd at noon in Managua. I will be staying in Las Penitas at this time and I was wondering if you think I would be okay to leave in the morning from Las Penitas. From what I've read the first bus leave at 5am from there to Leon and from there, I would take a bus to Managua in UCA. When I'll be there I'll just take a taxi to the airport.

Husband and wife travelling back home by road from Leon, Nicaragua to Seattle, Washington! Long adventure ahead but anyone that is going Northward anywhere around the 20th of this month (dates are very flexible) from Leon, Granada, Chinadega, or Managua and has room for two laid-back folks with two big bags, we would appreciate a ride-share. We are open to stopping anywhere along the way and would love to join some folks for a trip as far North as you are travelling.

hey! can anyone recommend an above average hotel in managua? i have stayed at the mercedes across from the airport and at the estrella. both were not what i am looking for. any 4 star you can recommend short of the hilton across from metro centro. something around $100- 125 would work. thanks if you can make a recommendation!
Hi, we are heading to Little Corn in one month and would like to do some diving. It seems "Dive Little Corn" is in trouble, they do not answer their mails. So we think about diving with Dolphin dive. Any ideas where to stay? It should not be too far to walk. On the other hand side, "The Little dive shack by the sea" at Derek's place sounds tempting. Did anybody dive with them? Is it a "real" dive shop? Thanks for your replies!
Planning on going to Granada for part of Semana Santa from Costa Rica, traveling as a solo female.
Would it be safer to fly to Managua and take a shuttle/bus to Granada, or would it be better to take TransNica or TicaBus to Managua and asked to be dropped off in Granada? Is TicaBus or TransNica better for the trip to Nicaragua?
Additionally, are there buses between San Juan del Sur and Granada?
I loved staying at the surf camp that was there a long while back- I hear its sadly long gone. Can any old timers recommend a place with a the same vibe, price, and nice beach? I was reading there was a house with a 15 foot high wall around it now? I hope the aussie who owned it made a lot of money anyway! Anybody know what happened?
