Where to stay on Ometepe?

#13 Ometepe is one of the more spectacular places I have ever visited, let alone spectacular among the Nicaraguan mainland.

If you enjoy the natural world, it would be a grievous error for you not to visit Ometepe.

I have 6 days to spend in granada/ometepe before I fly out to the corn Islands . Does it make sense to go to Granada first, and visit ometepe second? Or vice versa. Just trying to make sure I make it easy to get back to managua for the 2pm flight. Thanks in advice for any help!

granada 2 days and then relax in ometepe 4 days...u can do many acitivities there

I never made it to Ometepe, I went to Little Corn prior to and could barely get myself to leave, so much so I stayed almost a week longer than planned. Which made me have to cut out Ometepe and San Carlos (I don't regret this one bit).

Now I use skipping Ometepe as a reason to get back to the lovely country of Nicaragua asap. Should be back there at the end of the year....to lounge around Little Corn, but I swear I'll get to Ometepe (still doubting my capability to motivate myself enough to leave LC).
