I'm in Esteli, arrived this morning, and I need to buy a Ticabus ticket to San Salvador for Sunday. The Ticabus website says it is 1/2 block north La Farmacia Esteli, and LP online says on Av Central. I found Farmacia Esteli on Av Central(and they sell Transica tickets) but walked up and down the block both directions and didn't see the Ticabus outlet. I saw an office for Cental Line, but that's it. The Tica directions seemed odd as 1/2 block N of Farmacia Esteli is 1/2 block S of Parque Municipal, and that seems a more obvious landmark, unless I have the wrong Farmacia Esteli. The woman at my hotel (Hospedaje Luna) didn't seem sure. i still have tomorrow but Saturday I'm doing a all day trip to Miraflor, so I need to get it tomorrow. Can anyone give me better directions? I'll ask locally again tomorrow.

Thanks.

Thank you. I double checked the tica bus site, and it does say al norte, so unless my LP map is oriented wrong, it's 1/2 cuadra west. I'll find it in the morning. Muchas gracias.

And thanks for the heads up about the lunch stop. Will that be in El Sal or Honduras? I've been carrying a stash of $100 in $5 and $1 in good conditions for El Salvador as a starter fund until I can get to a bank and change $20 for smaller, as I understand the reluctance in Central America to change large and damaged bills.

I'm going to have probably about $100 worth of cordobas left when I exit Nicaragua(overestimated my spending because I didn't want to spend more money in ATM fees). I assume I will be assailed by money changers while I go through border crossing from Nicaragua to Honduras. I'm just passing through Honduras now, but will be back after a week on my way to Guatemala and Belize, so I plan on just changing the cordobas for lempiras and keeping them in my money belt for a week.
