Does anyone know how much it would cost to hire a taxi between Rivas and Leon?

I don't know but looking at the distance I would say at least $100.

Other options :

Bigfoot hostel (Leon) shuttle, Rivas to Leon 10 am, $25

Bus to Managua ($3 or so), taxi to the UCA bus station (not more than $5), minibus to Leon ($2)
