Has anyone heard anything about riots in the streets after the election in Nicauragua? I heard this thru the grapevine and haven't seen anything here about it. I'm assuming this would be mostly in Managua but hasanyone seen or heard anything? This might change my January plans. Although, I may still be in Bangkok at that point....

If you read earlier posts on this subject, you'll see that there is nothing to worry about!

I believe that's over for now. I heard thet may hold a second election so sooth things out.

No worries now, but things do flare up, the government is on verge of collpse...Thialand, has lot more problems....OMG!

Thanks for the input guys. Sounds like Nicaragua is just a touch riskier than some other places right now but not at a level that would scare me off.
BTW, Bangkok is such a peaceful place even with the occasional airport closure. No worries really here either.
