Hey folks,

maybe one of you can help me with the following question.

We have had the second case of Dengue in our travel group within 10 days this week. This seems to indicate that simply using repellent will not do. That's why we would like to buy some Permethrin in order to protect us better.

Does anyone know where in Manague we could get our hands on Permethrin?

Any help hi highly appreciated.

My friend bought some from a little farmacia on km 13 of carretera masaya. Next to a little minisuper at the entrance to campo bello.

Isnt permethrin for scabies? I didnt know it was for dengue.

Find a phone book and look at the Farmacias in MGA, start calling around. Several deliver in MGA. Farmart would be my first call, that is usually where I stock up on the hard to find when in MGA.

There is some over the counter Dengue medicine widely available, never have looked at it, guessing it is just to help minimize the symptoms.

Hey there,

thanks for the answers! I was told you put Permethrin on clothes, mosquito nets etc. to achieve another repelling effect and that it should be used in combination with the regula overdose of DEET....
