The guy that runs Mama Lola's on Big Corn Island beat up my 62 year old disabled husband that wears a back brace. Don't know why, he just attacked him. He told the neighbors he was from a street gang in Managua. Went to the police but had to hire a lawyer just to get them to take the report and it seems to have disappeared. Just a heads up. Watch your back when you go there.

Big Corn is pretty horrible anyway. Typical Caribbean mess. I was mugged on the coast there ages ago. To be honest, a visit should be trouble free, but the police will do nothing if something happens. Best visit Little Corn in my experience, and stay away from Bluefields and Big Corn.
