Getting to Leon from Airport

I guess there is a response or two concerning public transportation from Managua's airport to Leon, but if you don't mind my asking ... again! And ... Is it difficult to deal with getting around Managua, bus station etc.?

I assume there would be bus service from Leon south along the pan american highway to Rivas. I want to go catch one of the ferry services after my stay in Leon. Would like to end up at Solentiname for a few days. Thanks for any help.... Suggestions about moderately priced digs?

can from airport to bus station. microbus to Leon Easy peasy. Am sure there is a bus to Rivas from Leon but again, you might have to change in Managua. Lucky you wanting to go to Solentiname. I will go next time.

I stayed in Casa Leonesa....approx $30 USD per night House of the then Vice Mayor of Leon LOvely home with breakfast included.

On that note.....is the bus station easy to get to from the airport? Taxi?

And then on to Leon.....how often do the microbuses run? Can we just show up after our flight and hop on? (We fly in around 5pm at nite)

So easy, we had a Paxeos shuttle pick us up, she was standing there with our name and we hoped in and were off, $60 plus tip, it was worth it for us. You can e-mail them ahead of time to schedule
