It looks great, but pricey, from their website. Anyone familiar with this place?

I was there a few months ago but wouldn't say I can recommend it.

While I didn't think that, at 35 or 40 USD pp three meals included, the place was too pricey generally speaking, it certainly didn't live up to our the expectations - so in that sense yes, it was way too pricey for what it offered.
Chicken for lunch was okay, for dinner all we got was a tiny portion of gallo pinto and a piece of cheese. That was it. Which I thought pretty outrageous considering they had proudly shown us their big vegetable garden just before.
The rooms are small, rustic and not without charm but unfortunately ours had a leaking roof so when it rained at night, water came dripping right down on my head.
But I don't really mind all that if it really were en "eco lodge", as it claims to be, when at the end of the day it's nothing but a glorified conventional (not organic) coffee farm with a few butterflies and a few frogs locked away for tourists to gawk at. The trails you can hike (walk, rather) are almost exclusively through coffee plantations, and there's a little valley with an alright waterfall. Very little forest. Definitely not great at all, and definitely not "ecological". But then again, everything is "ecological" these days if it's not covered in concrete.

Thanks!!! This is exactly the type of informaion I was looking for because this is not at all what I am looking for. Here I was thinking this was some sort of special place that was worth the effort to get to. Guess we'll just stick with the typical fairly easy to arnage and set up Selva Negra or Finca Verde Esperanza.

Hi, I have a complete different view.
I was there in November, and aftre two weeks spent with heavy hiking in the forest it was phantatastic to find back a bed and hot watre to take a shower.
The food was excellent!
For sure, yuo can't compare it with a trip to the forest where you sleep in a hamac and cut your trails.
The people were extremly friendly and even organized a birthday party with a cake and real live music for me.
I would strongly recommand this place
